Kids today want cell phones and any new technology they can get their hands on. It seems they want these things at an earlier and earlier age and this leaves some parents with a dilemma: how young is too young?

Now if you have an older teen, they are not going to go for anything less than the real thing with all the latest texting and camera features. But younger children will just be happy to get a fun phone that has some basic features including parental controls on it.

For slightly older teens, the Disney cell phone for kids seems to be a popular choice and it comes with all the bells and whistles teens demand. While it is more expensive than the basic phones, it will keep your child happy at least until something newer and better comes out.
