Remember the days of charging your really cool spinning tops on the concrete to power them up and contain them in a box to “fight” it out with a friend? If you don’t then you probably did not grow up in the 70’s but those were the days. There was also the top that required the use of pull cord as well, either way was fun and everyone would decorate their particular spinner to represent them. Ok…back to the 21st century and on to Battle Strikers.

These are the new spinning tops for today’s kids. They are the mega spinning tops with special abilities and not only contain a launcher but a controller as well. Yes a controller!
Battle strikers start with a launcher that looks somewhat like a joystick that you hold in your hand. The “striker” aka the spinner attaches to the launcher. The original spinners were powered either by a pull cord or by “powering” them on concrete to rev them up. The launcher powers itself up magnetically before being launched into battle. Now where this gets interesting is, the spinner or striker itself is magnetic.
The third part of this wonderful idea is the addition of a finger controller. The controller which is magnetized enables the user to control where and how the spinner is to move – either telling it to jump, dodge an oncoming hit or move around, thus adding an extra element to the game.
There are sixteen “strikers” or spinners to choose from and each has different talents and abilities. Children catch on to the idea quickly and adding strikers to their collection can increase their abilities to win at each challenge. The Battle Striker setup is sold in different sets. You have the starter set, the tournament set which contains an arena to spin the strikers on, individual strikers called reload sets, and you can buy just the arena itself giving you many options for play.
Battle Strikers are the modern day spin tops and marble games that were played years ago. They take the idea and add a 21st century technology twist to it that even a child from the 70’s can appreciate and enjoy.
